Advanced Airbrush Techniques Class by Gerald Mendez
In this workshop Gerald will focus on sharing with students for 3 days different techniques, special effects and secrets learned in over 25 years of professional experience as an airbrush artist.
Note: This workshop will be held in English language.
• Illustration of Detail and Accuracy. Learn detail and control techniques, the proper use of the airbrush to apply the right combination of the key factors in the airbrushing, air pressure, distance and control of the airbrush.
Focusing on Freehand Fundamental Strokes, volume (light and shadow), gradient, and accuracy. We start painting a miniature monochrome illustration with no margin for error, which ended in an interesting composition of fantasy art in full size on illustration paper.
Note: This illustration will be painted with airbrushing techniques completely freehand without masking, erasing or correction techniques. (High-end airbrush will be provided by ChromaAir studio if you don’t have your own).
• Texture-FX Tips & Tricks. Exploration of different airbrushing techniques, using different kind of masks, applying different textures, Tricks and Special Effects, with the use of many templates including Texture FX and Texture FX-2.
• Fantasy Art Illustration. Study of different alternatives in developing a concept for a Fantasy Illustration style to create a Fantasy Art Illustration considering key aspects of originality and personal style, implementing many airbrushing techniques learned during the workshop
